Concept Definitions

1. sustainablity: proviiding what we need for the future.

2. Freegan: a Veegan that uses others' trash

3. stewardship: helping the environment or a sense of responsibility.

4. biomimicry: when people imitate what nature does.

5. ecological footprint: when people take things from the Earth.

6. overshoot: an overshoot is where people take more from the Earth than it supplies. For example, in 1987 people asked for more than the Earth supplied. Now it has do to with a lot of the pverty problems.

You did a great job at defining the words simply and you seem to understand what they mean. What was that equation that Mr. Gerber talked about? Do you remember what each part meant? It's posted on my blog and it asks you to explain it. You can do it on your blog or talk to me about it in class.
